Question type: General

Hi.. i recently bought 3 key fob And heres what i did to program it.
1. Close all doors and push the unlock button driver's door
2. Turn run and off using the key for eight times Leaving it on run on the 8th timd
3. Seller told me to change the radio frequency by pressing and holding the lock and
unlock button while pressing the panic button thrice (ive been googling for the
instructions on how to program fobs but cant find one which includes this step)
4. Check if the programmin is successful by pressing any key on the remote and waiting
for the doors to lock.

But to no avail.. ive been unsuccessful.. was able to do until step 3. On step 4 nohing
happens..

I had a similar problem with mine. I could only get two of the fobs to program and the third one would not work. I didn't know if I had a defective fob or some other problem. I called FORD and they said it would take 3 but they had to do the programming! (Maybe???)

thanks so much for your replies guys... so does it mean that the previous owner had 2 fob keys programmed before and i am trying to program the third one that is why i am successful? is ther any other way to have a fob key since the last owner of the car lost it?

That's it. The moment you begin to program a fob or two, you have wiped out the original fob''s code and are starting from scratch.
