09 Pontiac G6 battery dies after it rains

Asked by FitITmyself18 Oct 30, 2019 at 05:49 PM about the 2009 Pontiac G6 GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Pontiac G6 battery dies after a heavy rain
or sometimes after a car wash. Tested battery,
alternator and did a battery load test - didn’t
find the short.
Is there a know issue? Like the power locks in
one of the doors is getting wet and shorting.

Tough one! Have you opened the hood when it does this to see if any water is puddling on the battery itself?
