Transmission fluid and filter change should do it..

If you have overdrive make sure its on. Especially if cruising down the highway..

Thanks RV63. Do you really think that's all it is. And sorry to ask but is that something I could do my self, I'm not really mechanically inclined.

Yes. If it hadn't been serviced. That should do it...Let me know how you faired..

Does it feel like it doesn't have quite the power it used to?

No the power is great it's just the trans seems to be reving high, but the rpms on the dash seems to be normal.

When i'm going about 60 km/h the the trans sounds like I'm punching the gas peddle to pass and again the RPM's on the dash seems normal.

Have the filter and fluid changed. It probably never had been serviced? Let us know. Have a good day richadone..

Sounds like it's a dirty filter and fluid.. Have it service by a dependable mechanic..

I would have it inspected by a transmission shop. Dirty fluid and filter don't cause it to make noise. Have a dependable mechanic do the service is a good idea. That way he can look at what's in the pan and filter and have some idea about what's going on if its mechanical. Of course a lot of times transmission problems in modern cars actually have electronic causes, failed sensors, etc. While having it serviced is a good idea, be prepared, servicing rarely if ever fixed anything.
