Tire Size

Asked by Mahmoud May 02, 2016 at 07:00 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Car Customization

The car came with a tire size 185/60 R14 and it says on the user's manual the maximum tire size for it is 185/55 R15. But I don't like that, I'm thinking of getting 195/55 R15. Would this be a problem?

But I have seen several cars especially Aveo 2010 has 195/55 R15, so that's why it popped in my head to do just like that model. Can this upgrade be a problem for stability and car movement, etc. ?

If the overall diameter is the same using a "plus 1" and gaining 10cm in width is not an issue.Check with a TIRE vendor they can advise.

I actually put 205/55/16 with 2006 Saturn ION rims into my 2010 Chevy Aveo Hatchback LT, it makes it beautiful and muscular, I even have extra 4 pieces with winter tires to sell on my Kijiji if you need them let me know
