2008 Kia rondo blown engine

Is it true that the entire front end has to be
removed to replace the engine?  I'm
looking for a replacement engine, but
nobody seems to want to touch it to switch
it out.  Trying to decide whether to bother
or just scrap it.

No you do not need to remove the whole front , thats untrue, you just need to take out the radiator fan only, the a/c compressor , the alternator , the intake manifold , not the exhaust manifold tho, you just need to open it from the downpipe , and you can pull it up after removing the transmission bolts and taking out the main pouly by opening the 22mm bolt on it.
