Car shakes when I stop ??

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving, the ride is pretty smooth. Only
up until i slow down at a light or something
then it starts to vibrate. I have hit a couple
bumps and holes in the ground recently.
Could that be why? Also got my brakes
done a little over a month ago.

Vibration when you slow down can be a sign of warped brake rotors. Whoever did your brakes should be obligated to check them out

also, if you or another driver slammed on the brakes, it may have over heated the rotors, which would warp them as said. It also depends on the quality of your rotors and how much they were heated up, as you know, heated metal will change shape!

Yeah, tightening up the wheel nuts at different torques can warp a rotor over time and I can imagine getting the brakes hot and then driving through wet slush won't help at all....
