Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 or 2009 (dont remember) Ford Escape that is a 6  cyl.  I regularly do oil change and rotate tires, fluid check, brake check and such.  I am coming up on 90K miles is there some other maintenance I should be looking at performing.

You should have already changed the transmission fluid, if you missed it do it soon. Spark plugs are designed to go 100,000 so that is coming up. Also I would change the brake fluid and do a cooling system flush. The owner's manual is a good resource for what's needed and when. If you don't have one they can be purchased at www.helminc.com

everything starts going wrong once it approaches 100,000 miles. i’ve had mine for years & never had issues until it hit 100,000 miles. i’ve had a new water pump installed, new stabilizing links put on, most of the fluids re done & now i’m dealing with a loss of power steering
