I have a 2008 saturn Vue V6 and this morning while driving to work my started slipping and not shifting. Is there a recall on the transmission, I'm the first owner
If there was a recall you would have gotten a notice already. http://www.ehow.com/facts_7570271_saturn-vue-transmission-problems.html. This doesn't sound like your issue. If it's slipping or not shifting, I would at a minimum check the fluid level, and maybe even have it changed. Then I would take it into your closest GM dealer and have them inspect it. If it will cost you a transmission rebuild, I'd get some other estimates from local transmission experts on repairing it for less.
Hi jusda5ja, I am sorry to hear about the issue with your VUE. Tom is correct we would send you a letter when there is a recall associated with your VIN. If you have not gotten one your VUE most likely doesn't have a recall on it. I can double check for you if you'd like. Just send me your VIN to firstname.lastname@example.org "Attn Crystal" in the subject line please. Crystal L-GM Customer Care
I have a 2008 Saturn Vue (3.5 V-6) with less than 50 K and its in the transmission shop because of transmission issues, Im afraid that it may have to be rebuilt. I took a chance on american cars and this is what I get, I guess. Does anyone know about how much more this GM lemon is going to cost me?
The three most important components of a vehicle are the engine, transmission and brakes. So when the transmission is defective due to inferior wave plates is a serious and expensive problem. GM is taking I so a case by case basis. I wish they would do a recall and makes things right. Use a customer right and they will always come back!
