shut off then restart and red check gages light came on,
quit using radio, red light for gauges came on again and I'm
hearing a strange humming type noise, yesterday check
engine light came on, have not had codes read yet.

Have your alternator checked. The voltage regulator is bad in it and is overcharging the system sounds like. This will cause a slew of random electrical mishaps. Those noises are likely circuits being over bolted and this can cause other failures or even electrical fires.
