2007 sliverado dies

Asked by ltz07 Jun 25, 2015 at 04:22 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Silverado.  It will be running perfectly then just die as if you turned the key off.  All the lights on the dash come on.  When you move the key to start you have nothing, its as if the battery is dead.  let it sit from one to five minutes or so and it restarts and runs perfect again.  It may do this once a month or several times a day.  The cel comes on but goes back off in a while.  I haven't gotten the codes checked.  ANY IDEAS

You know there is a recall on your vehicle for electrical system problems. Call 1-800-630-2438

I called and the only recall on this truck is for the windshield washer heater. Thanks for the attempt.

Google this ( 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Recalls) then click on web site that says ( 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Problems , Defects ) click on recalls. It will give you a list of recalls and Electrical System is one of them. Date Announced for recall - August 28 , 2008. Do not forget to read the consequence: May cause other electrical features to malfunction. It is for the heated wipers but maybe affecting your electrical system.
