Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car just sits and
turns over as if there's
no spark or no fuel.
Tested fuel pump.
GOOD.
Replaced Distr Cap &
Rotor. And it starts.
Next morning. Car
turns over but wont
start.
Rolled it down the
incline and jump
started her by popping
the clutch.
QUESTION:
Why won't it just start
without the hassle. Is
there an immobilizer
switch that I should
change out?
HELP Please.
Glenn

OK I found it. Turns out that some replaced the distributor and stripped a bolt that holds it into place. They then used silicon to help seal the bolt in place. problem is that the silicon filled the void and acted like a non-conductive sealant around the bolt and removed the bolt's ability to act as a ground for the distributor. NUTS!! New bolt. Re-threaded. Car starts and runs fine.
