87 Pontiac Fiero headlights

When I turn off my pop up headlights they go down
fine but after they are down the motor still goes for
about 3-5 seconds. Any way to adjust it?

You probably need a re-build kit for the gear mechanisms in the head light motors. The motors keep spinning because the gears are striped.
