1988 Pontiac Fiero won’t stay started.

Asked by Keith May 04, 2018 at 11:09 PM about the 1988 Pontiac Fiero Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1988 Pontiac Fiero 2.4L manual won’t stay
started. It will somewhat start for a couple seconds
but then it cuts off. I also don’t use the clutch at all
to start it when it does start. I changed the spark
plugs and wires and I’m clueless. Somebody help

Check your fuel pressure. It might be your fuel pump or fuel regulator.

I just ended up buying it and the guy said it stalls when it’s stopping so he left and it’s just not starting really at all now.
