Why did the check engine light come on after I had the radiator flushed?
Coincidence or a sensor or connection was knocked loose. Scan the Rover for the codes to find out what the issue is, or check to see if something is not connected under the hood.
Ok thanks, I'll be taking the vehicle back to them tomorrow, he wants to "smoke out" the system to check for leaks, but I don't think thats the problem, i think you're right, one of the sensors mau simpy be disconnected or loose.
Using a 'smoke test' on the engine, is a test performed to find vacuum leaks. Did the mechanic scan for the codes and get some lean codes such as P0171 or P0174?
