Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After replacing the odometer
cluster i noticed the horn wasnt
working.Could just be a
coensidence or sweat dripped in
the steering wheel replacing the
odometer or maybe bumped a
wire loose.where shouls i look
next?like i said fam,i checked
the relay and its good.Any help
would be greatly
apprecisted.And if its the coil
spring hor or whatever its
called,whats the tool called to
take the airbag off to get to it?

Note the horn diagram. Did you check fuse, top right, hot all the time. What testing did you do at horn relay? The relay has two sides, the load side, right side in diagram. If you unplug the relay and use jumper wire between the two proper terminals, the horn should sound? If it does, check for problem on control side of relay, left side in diagram. The control side needs voltage and ground in order to energize, top wire for control side is voltage, the bottom wire in diagram is ground. The wire that goes up steering column to horn switch is just a ground for control side of horn relay. Maybe the problem isn't in the steering column? Because of safety issues with the air-bag, I'm not comfortable going there. good luck
