Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gas was low but not out. It would not
crank. It sounded like it was going to start
but wouldn't. I took the fuel pump relay
switch out and back in. It started and cut off.
And would not start. I did it 2 or 3 times and
it started. Any idea what my be causing it?

Possible hole in fuel hose above fuel pump. Pump picks up gas then just pumps it back into tank. Add gas about 1 gal. If gas goes above hole this will help get gas to your engine & it will start. yet some times spits & sputters.
