Distributor wont come out

Distributor won't come out of my
99 suburban.why is it stuck? It's
like some thing is caught up on
the shaft.

You have removed the mounting bolt and tab correct? Have you tried spinning the rotor slightly when you are trying to lift the distributor up and out? I do not believe these are notched but it's worth a try if you haven't already.

You can try a CO2 fire extinguisher on it. No lie! The distributor is aluminium and the cold blast from the fire extinguisher will make it contract very quickly. This will usually break it free. HTH. -Jim
