A 5.7 is a 5.7, any Vortec 350 will work if your looking at a used engine, if your thinking new try a crate motor.

98 in trucks, 2000 for suburbans, tahoes, and 2500/3500 trucks. There was a 99 classic truck. Idk about express vans but I'm thinking 2000 as well. The new motor was a 5.3 anyway, so not much to confuse.
