brake lights not working on 2001 chevy hd 2500

I have a chevy hd 2500 and the brake lights don't work.  I can't find a fuse under the hood in the fuse box.  The lights on my trailer don't work either, so I am at a loss.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try checking the brake lite switch at the brake peddle to see if it is working properly

I got them to work. It was the fuse. It was burn't out in the very bottom corner and was hard to see. Thanks for the help.

My brakes lights and trun lights don't work at the time when I need them but sometimes what is the problem
