My 1995 Buick Roadmaster, got in the car
drove to work, no dash lights were on, it was
raining, drove fine but when I left work
8hours later got in the car started it up the
check engine light was on, and it barely
wanted to go but once driving it, it picked up
speed but no gears changed it wasn't
driving in a strain, but every take off was the
same, I had a new transmission put in and it

Since the Check engine light is on, you should scan the car for the codes. Surprised you replaced the trans before doing this. Any local auto parts store will do this for free. Post the 4 digit codes back here. Then we can determine what sensor or part would need replacing.

Unfortunately, my car is a 1995,they say to old for the scan diags.

1995 is an OBDII system you should be able to get the codes.
