How to get 1999 Buick century to start after added a gallon of gas after it had ran out of gas. It turns over but won't catch up to start running

I just had the same problem, didn't know what to do cause my fuel pump was turning on, tennisshoes reminded me that just because it turns on doesn't mean it works, I replaced mine and car is like a champ again, I would listen to tennisshoes

Adding one gallon of gas is probably not enough especially if the car is on a slope. Put 5 in it.
