growl type noise in right front area. Only occurs when starting from the stoppod position and moving forward. Then stops

Asked by May 28, 2014 at 01:23 PM about the 2007 Pontiac G6 GT

Question type: General

Front bushings replaced 5 months ago. Left front wheel bearing replaced then as well. Right wheel bearing assessed by mechanic and was okay at that time. Front end got essentially a clean bill of health

So the front end got a thumbs up but you still have a noise in the right front? Hmmmm. Did he inspect the CV joint? Boot not ripped?

Also check that the caliper is properly mounted, and that it moves freely on the retaining bolts. Check that the caliper piston is free. It might be the sound of the brake pad or sensor dragging on the rotor after using the brakes. A rusty rotor can make a heck of a racket.
