Car wont start
Car turning over but wont start...Changed fuel pump and it started and I went
about 7 miles and quit...Thought the fuel pump was bad and bought another
one but car will not crank...I pour gas in the throttle body and it starts and cut
off...Need help...bought fuel strainer and filter...Also change plugs and wires
With the air cleaner assembly off you should be able to actually see the two fuel injectors spraying. If not check to see if the injectors are getting a pulse signal using a noid light. If they are, injectors are bad. If not you have to find out why you don't have a pulse signal. Since it will run when gas is poured into the throttle body it's definitely a fuel problem. HTH. -Jim
This may be related to the security system. The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Normally when the injectors are turned off, the car will run for a second or two, and then stall. When it's the security locked out starter, you won't even hear a click when you turn the key. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a lock through it? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/ & http://newrockies.com/
