i have a saturn sl1. Sometimes it will start to start up then die.

The last time this happened I put the key to the on position for 20 minutes,then turned it to off then to start and it worked. But not this time.

Don't really quite know what you mean turning the key on for a long time to see if it starts? Please give us more information on like the history of your maintenance on the vehicle have you done a complete tune up on it changing the spark plugs fuel filter excetera spark plug wires or could be even the condition of your your battery or your battery cables loose?
