Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 SL sedan with a 1.9l DOHC engine needing replaced. I found
an 1.9l DOHC engine in a 1999 S. will this work? If not a direct bolt in, what
would I need to change to make it work?

Yes the 1.9L SOHC and DOHC from 1995-2002 are interchangeable very easily, IF they are mated to the same trans as the donor car (meaning the donor car has a 5 speed manual and your car you want to put the engine in has a 5 speed manual, vice versa for an Automatic).
