mad rpms

Asked by MADBRITT Feb 19, 2015 at 05:39 PM about the 2000 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL1 Sedan

even when I cover the air intake up the engine still runs at 15000 it will drop when I put the ac on down to 11000 but in general it runs at 20000 / 30000 as you change gear, its driving me mad
please help

Check your throttle position sensor its going bad pretty sure .
