Saturn s series power train module swap

Asked by Guru9JC46 Jul 30, 2017 at 09:21 AM about the 2000 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Saturn sl 4door with a
5speed Manuel transmission in it. Now
the power train module went out in it
an it won't start or let me pop the
clutch in. My very close friend just
came across a power train module but
it's from a 2002 Saturn s series 4door
with a automatic transmission in it. My
question is can I still use it in my car
even though I have a 2000 Saturn sl
4door 5speed stick shift an this power
train module that my very close friend
gave me came out of a 2002 s series
4door automatic or will it not work?

I think it will not work sorry to say sir. I do think if you sent both the modules's into a coding/programming web site/online shop :"search the web for this" They may be able to do it for you to reprogram the good one to work in your car. Good Luck!
