could i do a transmission flush to save me money and time my car takes off
slow and jerks

If the transmission is acting up, you can try replacing the fluid to see if that helps. $100 vs thousands. It might help, it might not.

Slow and jerking might mean other things like misfires or a vacuum leak. Is the Check engine light on? Scan for the trouble codes, any auto part store will do it for free.

06 Kia, chances are very high that the transmission is on its way out, check the fluid level, color and smell, if it’s dark and has a burnt smell to it then kiss the transmission bye bye. As it is a Kia it’s not worth fixing.

Flushing the transmission on a vehicle this old will be the kiss of death! Don't do it!! Take it to a reputable transmission shop for a proper diagnosis. Unfortunately it'll probably cost more to fix than the vehicle is worth. Sorry! Jim
