How much are airbags for a 97'

Asked by Oct 18, 2014 at 08:08 PM about the 1997 Buick Skylark Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My airbags deployed when I was only going 12 miles an hour and now I can't sell it until I have airbags. I don't want to scrap the car because I have replaced the majority of the things in it.

Use www.car-part-com and locate some used ones to install. This will search salvage yards in your area.

Airbags were not manintory untill September of 1998. So if your car is a 1997 it was a option and not required by law. At least not in the United States. From what I understand it is expensive to repair, $600.00 to $1500.00 usd

Its not only the air bags but all the rest of the related items.

BTW. I bought just the air bag at a local junkyard a few years ago for$25.00.
