anti knock sensor wiring

the wiring harness going to the knock sensor is missing,which is causing the cooling fans to not come on

Right, your problem here is either coolant temp switch, fan relay, or the fans themselves. Knock sensor is not the issue, I don't even believe the 1990 Buick has a knock sensor. Perhaps you are describing the coolant temp sensor wiring being missing?

Well im so happy to have run across you LOL I need to replace my coolant temp sensor, could you tell me where to find it on 94 buick regal gs 3.8? if you have a diag. of it that would be great but either way cant get no one else to do it so guess I do it myself
