First ur 4.9 is not a v6 it is an inline six second how much oil is reading on the dip stick when was the last time u changed the oil and what type of oil did u use

Are you sure it is the oil pressure and not a gauge or sender malfunction? Have you done a manual oil pressure check? If it truly is high then most likely the oil pressure bypass is stuck, and to fix it you should replace the oil pump. HTH

Ur van has one of the most durable engines ever produced the 300 strait 6

If it is too thick of an oil u will have a high oil psi reading as well

5w30 , and is coming up on nexts oil change every 3000 miles is when i change. Last oil change had to change my pan. Everything looked clean inside.

The screen on the pump could be clogged with sludge if so that would cause the high oil psi or like the other guy said u may just need to change the oil pump
