The theft deterrent was activated when my mechanic worked on the car. Now the (Kenwood) stereo doesn't work. How do I retrieve the codes to unlock it

You need to supply the Factory Radio Code first to get the UNLOCK Code. Radio must show "LOC" Pencil & paper Proceed exactly this way: Press & Hold buttons 2 & 3 together. Write the numbers down Press AM/FM button Write the numbers down

To enter the code, use same buttons you would use to set the time. The HR button is used to enter the first two digits and the MN button is used to enter the last two digits. Once the code on the radio matches what was posted above, hit the AM/FM button and that will enter it.
