clicking sound when trying to start my car
When I tried to start my car I just got a clicking sound when I turn the key in the ignition, after few minutes car started. The next day it seemed as if the battery was dying. I had to get a jump, car started right up. Had battery checked at local auto shop and was told the battery was good. Any Ideas?
Check the cable,s,may be bad end,s or cables, may be bad them self.
If not cable,s check the starter.
The common causes of this problem is that the battery cables connection are lose or corroded. Start there.
Thank you my cables were corroded
With winter coming put some grease on the exposed ends of the battery cables. That will help keep them from getting exposed to the elements.
Thank you very much, this site saved me MONEY and time. I was going to take it to a mechanic on Monday.
