04 Buick transmission won't engage

When driving rpms just shot up out of nowhere and
car started slowing down. Changed fluid and filter
and car still won't engage. Not even an idle change
when you go through the gears

Sounds like it is shot. If the fluid level is full and does not move. it is gone. Driving down the road and the rpm's pick up and the car is slowing down, the clutches are worn out. Need a rebuild,
