97 rs camaro random/cyl 4 missfire???
Ok this problem fixed turned out it was a
plastic elbow running from heater hose/
tensionor bracket to the block... NOW am
dealing with cyl 4 missfire and what appears to
be a fuel air mix code. (blinking check engine
light) have replaced coil, plugs, wires, and fuel
filter. Now a little history. Mice chewed thru
number 2 and 4 injector wires i spliced those
back adding @ 3" of wire ... Could this be the
cause of misfire/mixture?.
Fuel injectors run off of .5 volts. To open and close the injectors, the computer grounds the circuit 4 that cylinder. Make sure that you have .5 volts constantly to each injector and the only real way to test that injector is working properly voltage wise, is with an scope or an expense diagnostic tool that is fast enough to notice if there's any variances. Basically, if you are in any doubt that your wire is causing to much resistance, replace the whole wire from the injector harness to the computer harness.
