I have a 2000 Buick Park Ave. I have to set the temperature control to 80° or higher to receive any heat in the cabin

I have replaced the thermostat and also the heating core

Does the engine temperature gauge show that your car is running cool? If you live in a cold winter area you may need to partially block off the radiator to get the car to run at normal temp.
