Mazda 6 v6 2006 car died while driving. Will not turn over. Battery check and is fine. All electronics inside car seem fine too. What would cause it not to turn over? Turn ignition and nothing happens except initial click
Define battery tested fine. What is the voltage your are reading on the battery? Did you check the battery cables and terminals?
Inside the starter solenoid there are some contacts and contact ring that wear out from just normal use, if you know what you are doing you can replace those pieces and the starter will operate again but you will have to remove the starter to do the operation. Or just replace the starter.
If lights work then check voltage at starter. If 12v then bad starter. If all else dead on vehicle then it is battery to ground and/or alternator to ground or to battery bad. Battery can be new and still completely dead car. I know because happened to my 2004 s6
