what could cause the total lose of engine oil, near oil filter

r. Found it turned off on its own. Then i noticed all the oil was on the ground.

dandyoun answered about a second ago That does not sound good at all. Could be any number of things. Was you driving it and felt loss of power maybe heard some funny knocking? If so possibly slung a rod thru oil pan. Need to inspect under it for where it's coming from.

Oil coming out of the top of the casting top I can see it and see bubbles.is there a gasket under it and 3 bolts are hard as hell to get off..???
