1996 Mercedes 320 SL

Soft top stuck half way to closed position.  it went back down and cover snapped in place.  now it wont come back up and soft cover switch flashes red.  have tried resetting windows.  now when you try to put top up, the windows go down, but no top and continues to flash red

Same thing happened to me on1996 SL 500. .....but in my case "Burst hydraulic line" and all fluid in a puddle behind rear wheel. Reservoir empty and dry. No cracks in reservoir.
