Auto purchase

Question type: General

I purchased a car which thru this website for
"Unlimited Motors" 2days later everything seem to
go wrong with it, needs a new transmission even
though the Carfax reports there was one put in 2
years ago and only driven 2,000 miles since then.
The engine check light came on, the coolant
warning came on and now it sounds like a jet
taking off. The back window is off track and
doesn't shut all the way and now I can't drive it. I
took out a distribution from my 401k because I
didn't want to have a car payment and I put down
60% with it to be paid off in 90 days, it wasn't until
later I realized the paperwork was done on 60 days
and not 90 as they said. I made several phone calls
with No return calls being made. Finally I got a
manager and tried explaining the issues with the
car and the paperwork and she proceeded to
scream at me and would not even get a word in
after telling her the salesman told me there were
no issues with the car at all. I tried to buy a
warranty however it was more than the car and the
repairs are so costly it's not worth fixing all the
issues. Any ideas what my options are or my legal
rights since they won't help? I have since
discovered this business has done the same thing
to many other people leaving them with vehicles
they can do nothing with

You probably bought the car as-is with no warranty. Your only option would be their good will and apparently they don't have any good will. I hope it was cheap. At this point you may want to tell them to take it back.

Unfortunately it cost me $4,400 I don't consider that cheap for the car when I've seen the same class for about the same coming with a warranty. I've never bought a car before at a place that was a buy here pay here place. I'm sure I've lost my money and I will be telling them to come get the car. This is a very shady business and I wish I'd done more research. I was just thinking about not having a long term payment. Thank you for your reply

Thank you Jim, I will contact Mercedes Benz, I never thought of that, hopefully it's in their system
