2002 dodge ram slt 4.7l Wont stay on seems to be passinq to much gas to the injectors, does the fuel pressure regulator has something to do with that? Could it be bad?
Yes and yes, do you have a check engine light on?
Yeah the check engine light is on the code that came out is P0500 and P0172.
P0500 no vehicle speed sensor. P0172 Bank 1 rich
So fix the speed sensor, reset the system, roadtest and recheck if the check engine light comes back on. You may have leaking injectors or the regulator is at full pressure.
Yeah thats the codes, the truck turns on if i push the gas pedal all the way down and if i take it off it dies it wont stay on, but if i leave it down and dont let the rpm go down of 1500,2000 it wont die
So It could be the fuel pressure sensor? I changed spark plugs they real bad i just bought the truck is in aight condition.
The injector #7 was coming up on the codes i already replace it. Ok am going to rep. The sensor and see what cames out.
I know this an old post but did you ever figure it out mine is doing the same thing, with a new pump.
