Running like crap

Asked by Guru1XSX2 Sep 01, 2019 at 07:06 PM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 ST 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Dodge is running extremely rich
throwing black smoke, ira back firing
like crazy and throwing fliers out the
exhaust , won’t idle or will struggle to
idle for a few seconds then bogs out.
I checked the time it isn’t out of time.
If I keep the gas on it still runs rough!
I have replace both 02 sensors,
throttle position sensor, idle air
sensor, crank sensor, map sensor,
fuel injectors, ecm, coil, distributor
cap and button, plugs and wires! It
has 50lbs of fuel pressure. Cat is not
clogged took the whole exhaust off it
isn’t clogged you can see right
through it. Not throwing any codes
now. I can’t figure it out.

Sounds like an injector is stuck open. Pull the spark plugs to see which injectors are the problem.
