Clunkinking noise only when 4x4 is engaged

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 when i engage
the 4x4 there is a clunking or snapping noise
coming from somewhere it is like something is
binding. Im not sure if its a axle or what that is
causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure i thought it was the u-joints in the front axle so i pulled the splines on both sides and replaced the u-joints but it still does it
