Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All of a sudden my truck is acting up. When
I go to start it, it starts for one second then
dies.  So I have to hold the gas for about 5
mins to get it to idle over 1 and then it will
stay one! "so I thought"! It died on me today
going threw a busy interaction lost steering
no breaks nothing ( mind u I'm a 22 year old
female not very much upper body strength)
i was inches away from crashing into
another car some how I moved the wheel
about 4 inches and saved my self!  I have
changed all spark plugs. I have had 2
people look at it and they can't figure it out!
I need help asap this is my only vehicle!

Check air filter and clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner and change fuel filter if have not done so in a while.

Also would not hurt to put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner into gas tank.

the next time you start it-turn the key to on not start for a few seconds then off again. (You're not trying to start it just get all the systems to be on) Do this 3 times. Them when you do go to start it may run fine. If this is the case , it may be your fuel pump.
