Just replaced the alternator In my 92dodge ram 50 and the battery still won't hold a charge

Bad battery,or alternator you just replaced is bad,check cable,s to battery and alternator,if battery is good,may have got a bad new alternator,autozone,and advance,1 out of 4 are bad to start with.
