2001 chevy cavalier-turns over bt wont start right away?

so, here the just, I have a 2001 Chevy cavalier. it was running great . two days ago when starting it turned over and struggled to start. got to work and let it sit for six hours got off work turned key again struggled to start. the next morning checked battery, spark plugs and all my fluids ; added trans fluid and started not problem. what could be causing this to happen?

Sounds like fuel filter or the fuel pump may be going. When you turn on the ignition, without cranking it, you should hear the fuel pump make a buzzing noise. If you have that, the pump should be OK, in which case it may be the filter, or perhaps clogged injectors. If you can get it started again, add some fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank and take it for a good drive. Good luck!
