Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 2002 Chevy Venture that needs a water pump replaced, but from the diagram that came with the pump we cannot tell where the water pump is.  Can anyone help us out here?  A picture or diagram would be most helpful.  Thank you.

Hard to tell without knowing which engine you have. The pump should be belt driven. Look at the belt and change the thing that doesn't look like an alternator or A/C compressor.

Yes it does help. The water pump is about halfway up the engine between the engine and radiator. A picture of the engine can be seen at this site - http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1972 --- if you are changing the serpentine belt at the same time, the engine has to be supported and the belt threaded through the upper engine mount. DIY instructions can be found on the same site.
