Compatibility for Motor replacement

I have a 99 f350 5.4 triton.  And a 2004 f250 5.4 triton.  Will
the 04 engine bolt up in the 99 is my question.  Some say
yes and others say its a 99 specific engine?

You cannot directly swap a 2V and 3V Triton. For one thing the 3V Triton is variable cam timing which means a different operating system.
