Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1996 f 250 leaking coolant on right side of engine around coolant tank. Not leaking around engine. Engine not overheating. When engine warms up the leak begins. With the cap off of the tank there is not any bubbling in the tank. However I can not see were the coolant is leaking from. Question is where is the coolant leaking from? Is it possible that the coolant tank has a hole in the bottom that the coolant is leaking from?

Yes it is possible, but check the return line running to the coolant tank. Could be all dry-rotted.

As Rowefast posted, check the return line first. Then if it is okay I would replace the coolant tank.

Thanks guys, I'm going to check the return line. Next step will be the coolant tank.
