1990 F250 460

Asked by Kaleb Apr 11, 2019 at 10:43 PM about the 1990 Ford F-250 2 Dr XLT Lariat 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently motor swapped my 1990 F250 with
a 460, to a 1991 460 of the same type. The
motor ran great in the parts truck, but as
soon as I put it in mine It will only start on
ether and won’t idle, I have to feather the gas
for it to even attempt to run. I am completely
stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks I ended up figuring it out, it was the MAPS sensor and probably a bad fuel pump. Replaced both and ran like a top!
